Business Economic Impact Survey

We would like to encourage all businesses within Mitchell Shire to undertake the COVID-19 Australian Business Economic Impact Survey as it will assist as we look to recovery.

The survey is anonymous, however the suburb/town and post code data provided by businesses will enable REMPLAN to produce an aggregated data set for Mitchell Shire. You can also provide you name and contact details for further updates through REMPLAN, this is fully optional. The results of the survey will assist Council to:

  • Understand and analyse the impact of COVID-19 on local businesses
  • Plan and prioritise Council’s program of support for local business
  • Communicate and advocate on behalf of local businesses and your needs.

We will also look to share the results of the survey with businesses through our regular economic development updates and with the various chambers of commerce operating in the Shire.

Victorian Country Market

If you're a farmer or producer the Victorian Country Market will provide a online platform for you to promote your business and receive support from local communities.  The site will be ongoing, and all fees will be funded by the Victorian government over the next 12 months.
This is an incredible opportunity for regional vendors and producers to continue bringing their quality products to Victorians, and for the public to continue supporting the farmers, produce growers and traders during these uncertain times.
This is not intended to replace any of your current e-commerce ventures, but rather to enhance and extend them - just like a regular farmers market, trade show or field day would. To be a part of the market, complete this form.

My Business Health

The Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (ASBFEO) supports small businesses and family enterprises through two main functions: advocacy and assistance. The ASBFEO can provide you with some of the tools to get your business back on track. Visit the ASBFEO website.

Get Government Ready

One thing businesses can do during this time is to explore the prospect and lay the groundwork for becoming a government supplier. While the private sector may have slowed down, the Victorian Government is doing all it can to continue operating and has a priority to protect its business supply chain. Visit the Business Victoria website to discover more about applying for government work.

Build it Better voucher program

Are you a manufacturer wanting to work in the additive manufacturing space? Supported by the Victorian Government, this program supports small to medium manufacturing businesses with funding of up to $20,000 to undertake projects to increase their adoption of additive manufacturing technology.
