Glengala Village in Sunshine West is one of only three locations across Melbourne selected to be part of the State Government’s Plan Melbourne’s 20-Minute Neighbourhood Pilot Program.

The 20-minute Neighbourhood is all about ‘living locally’— where people’s daily needs are within a 20-minute walk from home, with safe cycling and public transport options.

As a result of State Government funding, Brimbank City Council is delivering a range initiatives including:
  • Street greening
  • Shop front improvements
  • Pop up Parks
  • Traffic-calming road art

Council has established a map to make if easier for locals to find out who is open. If you'd like to have your business listed, contact the Economic Development Team.

Council is also delivering a range of activations including bin wraps, decals, banners, buntings and more to eight local activity centres in 2020/21.
