Local businesses Green Empire St, The Usual Joint (Sunshine North), Sunshine Social (Sunshine West), The Western Sports Centre (Derrimut), Flowerlicious (Cairnlea) and Taylors Lakes News and Lotto have partnered with Council in the what ‘Local’ is to you competition during April. 

You can make a comment and upload images as well as videos, don’t forget to vote on your favourite social media post. The seven most shared social media posts will be awarded a $100 or $50 shopping voucher from one of these popular local businesses.

Is your QR Code Connected to Victoria's Contact Tracing System?

Record keeping is vital to keeping Victorians COVIDSafe. All QR code apps used for record keeping must connect with the Department of Health’s contact tracing system.

Use the free Victorian Government QR Code Service, or check if your QR code app provider is compatible with the Victorian Government’s new Visitation Application Programming Interface (API).

A 28-day compliance amnesty applies from 6pm on 26 March until 6pm on 23 April 2021.

Check the list of businesses required to use the electronic record keeping.



This exclusive business program is limited to just 10 local businesses with an annual turnover above $500,000. 

The Decisions that Drive Profits Program provides support to businesses recovering from the impacts of Covid-19 that are looking for their next stage of growth.

The program runs over three months and includes three group sessions and three one-on-one consulting sessions with business experts to help you drive profits in your business.

Make sure you’re adhering to the current COVID-19 restrictions

  • All businesses must have an active, up-to-date COVIDSafe Plan.
  • Keep accurate records and ensure your staff and visitors register their details for contact tracing.
  • All businesses must record contact details for anyone on their premises for 15 minutes or more, including staff, customers and suppliers.
  • Electronic record keeping is required for many venues to access the higher density limit of 1 person per 2sqm. The Victorian Government QR Code Service is easy to use and free.
  • Download and display signage to remind people of the need to check in, and other safety measures.
  • If you or your workers have even mild COVID-19 symptoms, please get tested.
  • Visit  coronavirus.vic.gov.au for more information or call Business Victoria on 13 22 15. If you need an interpreter, call the coronavirus (COVID-19) hotline 1800 675 398 and press 0.
