The Australian Small Business & Family Enterprise Ombudsman have relaunched My Business Health Portal which connects business owners with important advice around keeping their business afloat and mental health support services. To find out more about the support available click here

The Partners in Wellbeing Hotline also offers business owners with free and confidential one-on-one access to experienced wellbeing coaches, business advisors and financial counsellors. The wellbeing coaches can help you improve your emotional wellbeing and develop coping strategies to support you through this difficult time. Qualified financial counsellors can give you advice, support and information about managing business, personal debts and other financial issues. For more information about this service click here

Council has developed a Draft Mobile Vendors Policy 2021 and is seeking your feedback. The policy has been developed to facilitate and manage the effective operation of mobile vendors in Hobsons Bay. It provides a framework for considering requests for roadside trading in the municipality. 

The draft policy will be available for review on the Participate Hobsons Bay website until 6 June 2021.

Jobs Victoria is the Victorian Government’s $619.4 million investment to help Victorians get back to work and businesses find the right workers. If you are a Victorian employer, the Jobs Victoria Fund could be for you.

The fund will support employers to grow and recover while helping Victorians looking for work in steady jobs. The Jobs Victoria Fund is now open for applications. For guidelines and further information regarding eligibility click here.

The Australian Taxation Office has developed an information hub to help small businesses access new, useful and reliable small business information.  

The webpage is a great resource when preparing your tax and running your business throughout the year.
